Move In Summer 11-12

Students who are moving into the Residence Halls should come to the Campus Post Office located in NRH (bldg. 43) to get your school mailing address and pick up your mailbox key.

Correct Address Format to be used is: (Residence Halls)

Students who are moving into UC, Riverknoll and Global Village should come to the Global Village Post Office located in Bldg. 400 (West side of Crossroads) to get your school mailing address and pick up your mailbox key.

STUDENTS LIVING IN THE RESIDENCE HALLS

When you leave RIT please turn in your mailbox key to the Campus Post Office located in bldg. 43 (NRH) or use the express slot located in the lobby. If you leave and don’t turn in your mailbox key, you will be billed $10.00 which will appear on your RIT bill.

STUDENTS WHO ARE LIVING IN UC, RIVERKNOLL, OR GLOBAL VILLAGE:

When you leave RIT please turn in your mailbox key to the Global Village Post Office located in bldg. 400 (West side of Crossroads) or use the mail slot located in the lobby. If you leave and don’t turn in your mailbox key, you will be billed $10.00 which will appear on your RIT bill.

You may forward your mail online. Follow the steps using your DCE account. This can be done from anywhere with web access. Note: when submitting your name please use middle name or initial as some names are duplicated.

Students with a Global Village mailbox should put “9” in front of your mailbox number when submitting your forwarding address.

Example: If your mailbox number is 810 – you would enter 90810 in the mailbox # field. The field consists of 5 characters for the address to be processed.

STUDENTS WHO ARE LIVING IN THE RIT INN & CONFERENCE CENTER

  1. When you leave RIT turn in your mailbox key to the front desk at the RIT INN & CONFERENCE CENTER, or in the express slot located in the mailroom # 239. If you leave and don’t turn in your mailbox key, you will be billed $10.00 which will appear on your RIT bill. You can drop it off at the post office in NRH also.
  2. You may forward your mail online. Follow the steps using your DCE account. It's very easy, takes only seconds and can be done from anywhere with web access. Note: when submitting your name please use middle name or initial as some names are duplicated.

Mailing Belongings Home

Both locations will be open extended hours Wed, May 18 – Friday, May 20 until 6:30 pm and Saturday from 9:00-1:00.

UPS will be the shipper of choice for outgoing packages.

If you are staying in the same housing location for the summer, you should come to the NRH or GV post office to renew your key for the summer.
