Utility Work Near AEPi

Housing Operations, Mary F. Niedermaier, director - April 20, 2009

Attn: AEPi members: Updated information from FMS and Pike Construction Company today regarding additional utility work around your house specifically. Digging will occur across the front and west side of your house in order to relocate a gas line. They have indicated that this work will take no more than three days and that you will have access in and out of your house during that time. They will be responsible for restoring the area upon completion. Because Housing is concerned that it will be somewhat inconvenient, the RIT Inn and Conference Center is holding eight rooms in the North Tower (hotel side) for use. Not sure how quickly we might get together to discuss this in person, so an e-mail has been sent to each person on contract for AEPi. Work is planned to begin Monday, 4/27 (plan to complete in three days) and wonder if any chapter events are planned during this time? Housing will go back and discuss alternate time frames if an event is already planned. Additionally, you have the option to stay at the RIT Inn from 4/26 - 30 to minimize the inconvenience. Notice will be sent to the rest of the residents in Greek Circle as well. Please respond via e-mail so that I know you have received the information and let Housing know about timing and the alternate housing option.

Pedestrian Traffic Routes at Global Village

FMS, April 8, 2009

A construction fence is being assembled around the Global Village site to protect student from being potentially injured. It will be built over the next few weeks and will remain in place until the project is completed in fall of 2010. Alternate pedestrian traffic patterns have been established for Riverknoll, University Commons, and the Greek Houses to allow students access to campus. All pedestrian traffic will be redirected along the north end [top] of Lot S to Reynolds Drive. There will be an ample signage to direct pedestrian traffic to the alternate routes More info: Glenn Foster, FMS project manager (585) 475-4314.

Question:Will pedestrian traffic be allowed through the construction site afterhours when work is not being done?
Answer:No, there are many unforeseen hazards in a construction site, therefore, the site is restricted 24/7.

Question:Will the fence location change during the project?
Answer:Yes. There may be alteration during the project; however, you will be notified.

Question:Will there be any changes to the bus schedule?
Answer:No, the bus routes and schedule are not affected by this fence.
