Technology Description

A low-cost, simple to use system to take audio and video feeds, convert the audio feed into captions and then display the captions in real-time on the video feed. Applications include captioning for the deaf and hard-of-hearing in educational, corporate and consumer settings; captioning of broadcast materials; entertainment; and in association with a language translator for monitoring foreign language feeds. A working prototype is available for inspection.
