Tiger Bucks
Tiger Bucks is a valuable debit account accessed through the RIT ID card and is available to all RIT students, faculty, and staff.
Tiger Bucks are accepted at over 75 on and off campus locations for a number of services and products.
Tiger Bucks is a cost-effective and convenient account that includes a number of worth-while benefits.
Benefits for Students
- Can be used at all Dining Services' locations and vending machines for meal and grocery purchases
- Can be used for purchases at any of RIT’s retail locations including Barnes & Noble @ RIT (campus bookstore), the Digital Den (electronics store), Shear Global Salon (hair, nail, and tanning services), post office, HUB print center, and Shop One2 (art gallery and original craft boutique)
- Can be used for a number of other on-campus services including program kits, printing, mailing, event tickets, fees and charges, and recreational and retail facilities.
- Can be used to purchase gifts for a friend or professor - or treat them to a delicious meal!
- Reduces the need to carry cash, checks, and multiple cards
- Your picture ID protects your money from theft by preventing the use of your card by someone else
- Tiger Bucks can be deposited anytime throughout the year and your account is updated in real time allowing you to view your balance at anytime.
- Perfect to use for purchases at dining locations that have cashless hours.
Students can make deposits by using the RIT Portal at my.rit.edu, the eServices web site at eservices.rit.edu, or in-person at Student Financial Services (University Services Center) Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

- Saves you 10% on meal and grocery purchases made at any Dining Services location (excludes vending machine purchases).
- Can be used at all Dining Services’ locations and vending machines for meal and grocery purchases

Faculty and staff can make online Visa/Mastercard deposits using the eServices web site at eservices.rit.edu (after you log in, click on “credit card” next to “Food Debit”), enrolling in direct payroll deduction by using the RIT Portal at my.rit.edu (log-in and then click on the "financial" tab), or in-person at Student Financial Services (University Services Center) Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Benefits for Parents and Families of RIT Students
- Parents and family members can add Tiger Bucks to their student’s account anytime for on and off campus purchases, meals, products, and services.
- Can be used at all Dining Services’ locations and vending machines for food and meal purchases
- Can be used to purchase your student a gift certificate, special delivery basket, birthday cake, and many other gifts available for purchase on-campus.
- Can be used for purchases at any of RIT’s retail locations including Barnes & Noble @ RIT (campus bookstore), the Digital Den (electronics store), Shear Global Salon (hair, nail, and tanning services), post office, HUB print center, and Shop One2 (art gallery and original craft boutique)

Parents/Families can make online Visa/Mastercard deposits by using RIT eServices at eservices.rit.edu. Deposits can also be made by calling Student Financial Services at 585-475-6186, Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Additional Information:
- Purchase amounts are deducted from the available balance.
- Vending machine purchases only - A precautionary $10 daily limit restricts the use of a lost or stolen card.
- There is a $5 minimum deposit.
- Tiger Bucks is not a cash card. You cannot receive cash from this account.
