Resident Meal Plans 2008-2009
Students residing in a residence hall must select a meal plan. Freshmen may choose one of the four flexible meal plans described below. First year students are considered freshmen.
All "Plus" plans include a debit account. You may add to this debit account at any time. Adding a debit account is optional, (but encouraged) if choosing the Ultra Meal Plan.
What mom's say about the new Ultra Meal Plan:
"This is the best possible fit for our son!! He has always been one who would rather graze his way through the day. He feels best and works best when able to do so. This plan allows him to do just that!! This plan also allows him to plan his meals at times that work conveniently around his classes. He has one class that coincides with lunch and another that comes at supper time. With the Ultra meal plan neither of these is a problem!! Thank you so much for designing such a wonderful program. We couldn't be more happy. It is a big relief for me to know that my son who is over eight hours from home, and away from home for the first time in his life, has this basic need so well met." --- Rosalie B. Mosher
Resident Plans
NEW - Dining Services, with input from the Residence Halls Association, will test a change to the 10, 12, 14 and Ultra meal plans for the spring quarter. We will remove the restriction of eating only one meal per meal period. Students are limited only by the number of weekly meals on their meal plan, five of which may be used as ‘meal options’ in other dining facilities.
Example: You have 14 Meal Plan. Eat breakfast 8 a.m. in Gracies + lunch (meal option) 11:30 a.m. in Brick City Café + dinner 6 p.m. in Gracies + pizza (meal option) 11 p.m. in the Commons = 4 meals. 10 meals left for 6 more days. Budget wisely!
Please be sure to let Dining Services know what you think of this meal plan test for spring quarter at cdhfsa@rit.edu
Meals on these plans are served in Gracie's and have unlimited seconds. Of the set number of weekly meals (14,12,10) and the Ultra Meal Plan, include five meals (called Meal Options) that may be used in a food service area other than Gracie's.
| Meal Plan | Meals/week | Meal Options * | Debit | Cost/quarter |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ultra Meal Plan | Unlimited Meals at Gracie's | 5 | $0 | $1,480 |
| Any 14 Plus | 14 | 5 | $89 | $1,320 |
| Any 12 Plus | 12 | 5 | $228 | $1,320 |
| Any 10 Plus | 10 | 5 | $368 | $1,320 |
*Meal Options - allow you to trade up to five of your weekly meals at Grace Watson for a $6.35 meal credit in any Food Service restaurant.
