Online Learning through E-LearningZone
In collaboration with the Center for Professional Development, ITS and Element K, E-LearningZone provides a vast library of online courses to meet the diverse academic and professional development needs of the RIT community. All of the self-paced, online courses offered are a no-cost benefit to both you and your department. In addition, E-LearningZone provides opportunity to view all upcoming instructor-led courses supported by The Center for Professional Development. Through E-LearningZone, you can easily register and drop your enrollment in these sessions.
In addition, you can view all of the upcoming instructor-led sessions, and easily register or drop your enrollment via E-LearningZone.
Overview of E-LearningZone
It’s easy to gain the professional knowledge and skills you are seeking with E-LearningZone. With thousands of self-paced, online courses at your disposal, you will surely be able to find the course that is right for you! Online courses include, but are not limited to: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, as well as numerous soft skills courses. By using the “Search” function, you can key word search the Element K libraries to find the courses you are looking for.
By selecting “Catalog” and clicking on “Center for Professional Development” after logging into the E-LearningZone, you can view a list of all the different sessions available through the Center for Professional Development. To enroll in a particular session, simply select or search for the course (using the search bar at the top right-hand corner of the screen), and click on the “Upcoming Sessions” tab. Here, you can view all of the upcoming sessions, as well as where they are located. To register, just click the “Enroll” button on the right. It’s that easy!
When you enroll in an instructor-led class, you will be given the option to add the session to your Microsoft Outlook Calendar. This feature will help to make sure you never miss a session!
To view all of your upcoming sessions, select “My Training” under the “My Content” tab at the top of the screen. This will bring you to a list of all online and classroom courses that you have started or are currently enrolled in. To drop your enrollment for one of these sessions, simply click the course title, and then “Drop Enrollment.”
If you are looking for a list of all the sessions you have completed through the Center for Professional Development and E-LearningZone, then simply scroll over the “Home” tab at the top of the screen, select “Account Information,” and click on “Transcript.” This will provide you with a list of all sessions completed, as well as the date of the session, and an option to print a certificate of completion.
