I Recruitment (the new Career Zone) Training
The NEW Oracle iRecruitment system will replace RIT Careerzone and add many great new features for internal and external applicants and department managers to improve the overall recruiting and job application process.
All applicants will now be able to:
- Apply for all positions on-line using a single log in.
- View real time application statuses.
- Search for jobs without logging in.
- Upload resumes and other electronic documents associated with their job application.
- Create a resume on-line if they don't already have one.
- Complete their application questions on-line.
- Make changes to their applicant profile on-line.
- Internal applicants will be able to apply using their standard Oracle applications login.
- External applicants will enter the site using the link https://mycareer.rit.edu
Managers will be able to:
- Create vacancies (requisitions) online (replacing paper requisition forms) using their Oracle Applications login. There will be a phased in approach to fully move away from paper requisition forms.
- Copy vacancies which were previously created to save time.
- Retrieve resumes and other applicant information directly from iRecruitment.
- Know which applicants are internal.
- Update applicant statuses in real time mode.
- Have the option to post jobs internally before they are posted externally depending upon the type of search.
- Give access to search committee members so that all members of the committee can view the applicant information simultaneously and on-line.
The people that need to attend iRecruitment training are anyone who currently:
- Initiates paper job requisitions
- Reviews job applicants
- Approves requisitions
- Is, or will soon be working on a search committee
