New Faculty Orientation
New Faculty Orientation is being held August 27 and August 28, 2009, with a special session held August 26 to provide an overview of RIT’s comprehensive benefits program. The orientation schedule will be posted on the New Faculty web site.
Each year we welcome new faculty to RIT by holding New Faculty Orientation prior to the start of fall quarter. This orientation is devoted to providing new faculty with the critical information about the university and the resources available for faculty to support the teaching and learning processes.
Under the auspices of the Associate Provost for Faculty Success, each college hosts a breakfast to provide their new faculty an opportunity to meet fellow new colleagues and learn more about their specific college. As a group, all new faculty gather for the university orientation during which we provide a framework for understanding the University as a whole, preparation for success and information about how each college fits into the larger university.
To obtain further employment information, (parking, ID card, etc.), new faculty can visit Human Resources or the new faculty section of RIT's website.
