Developing Skills for New Supervisors
You already excel in your field, but being an effective supervisor requires a new set of skills. This interactive session is designed especially for newer supervisors. Through open dialogue and activities, this session focuses on developing the new skills and knowledge that are essential for supervisors to understand as they begin their new career to ensure they are successful and productive in their positions, respected by their employees and become strong stewards of the university.
This session focuses on three main topic areas:
- Adjusting to your new supervisory role
- The Importance of Communication
- Managing Performance Issues
