Fraud in the Workplace
Occupational fraud can be found in any workplace. Whether an organization is a non-profit entity such as a university or a large for-profit corporation, fraud has occurred and continues to occur. This seminar will provide you with the knowledge to prevent fraud from occurring in your area of responsibility.
By attending this seminar you will learn:

- who typically commits fraud, and why
- common fraud myths
- methods typically used by individuals committing fraud
- how you can reduce the risk of fraud in your area of responsibility
- the fraud investigation process

Facilitator Information: Facilitated by Patrick M. Didas, Associate Director of Institute Audit, Compliance & Advisement. Pat is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Fraud Examiner with over 11 years of higher education internal audit experience and is a graduate of RIT’s Saunders College of Business.
Stacy DeRooy is an Investigator with RIT Public Safety. Stacy has worked in the private security field for over 16 years and has been with RIT Public Safety for 11 years. Stacy has degrees in Criminal Justice from MCC, Organizational Management from Roberts Wesleyan College and has earned an advanced certificate in Law Enforcement Intelligence from Michigan State University.
