Policy - Library
The Library charges back direct, incremental costs associated with the following services:
- On-line Computerized Literature Searching - The direct costs of an on-line search including telecommunication charges, database royalties, system charges, and per citation charges. These will vary depending on the database.
- Interlibrary Loan - The library does not charge back costs of borrowing books, articles or any other material from lending libraries. The Library pays for loan fees, copyright royalties, postage, etc.
- Photocopying & Printing - The Library uses a copy card system copying and printing. The system is a pre-paid debit/credit card. A separate copy card may be purchased or the RIT ID card may be used. At the end of each quarter the Library will charge the department account for all copy value and cards requested during the term. Memos requesting additional cards or value can be directed to the Circulation Department, Wallace Library.
